All Parts of you are welcome

Nagomi is a Japanese concept that embraces the whole of one's self and in bringing balance, harmony, and peace. Nagomi emphasizes being true to oneself even while continuing to learn and grow. Nagomi is about mixing and blending things that others might say “don’t go together,” and instead says that there can be balance and harmony.

About

Meet Sarah

I have experience working with teens, adults, couples, and families addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. I believe in a holistic view of counseling: All aspects of a person’s wellbeing – physical, emotional, spiritual and social – are important. In my free time I enjoy being out in nature, hiking, and traveling with loved ones and my pup Suki. I believe that everyone has an inner strength with the ability to change and to decide who they want to be. I take an eclectic approach, focusing more on the root of issues and incorporating art, mindfulness and emotional regulation into sessions. I believe in holding hope for and in people, as well as in creating a space where they can feel heard, seen and valued. My approach is collaborative with whomever I work with and I use the following models: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (level 1 trained), and attachment theory. I am a mixed ethnic person. I am Japanese, Mexican, German, and English and I grew up in the United States. My heritage is an important aspect of my identity and I am passionate about working with diverse people and listening to their story. We are not defined by just one aspect or part of ourselves. I look forward to hearing your story and helping you in your healing journey.
